Installation of 5KWh Quality Solar-Battery System at Pearl Health Facility

Today January 23rd , 2025 we have installed a high quality 5KWh solar-battery system at Pearl health facility. Pearl health facility was faced with a lack of adequate electrical power supply to run the health facility, which was interrupting medical equipment use, lighting, cold-chain and the overall operational efficiency of the health center. Babies born with asphyxia requiring oxygen administration, expectant mothers, night staff and in-patients, as well as, out-patients requiring laboratory diagnosis were majorly affected.

AMBASSADOR’S SPECIAL SELF-HELP PROGRAM

Pearl Rural Care (PRC) received grant award from US American Center in Kampala, Uganda.

The project facilitated the installation of a 5KWh quality solar-battery system sufficient to achieve a minimum load energy demand for the health facility for the next 10 years.

The project enhanced quality healthcare services and improved health outcomes in Lamwo town council and Lokung sub-county in Lamwo district.
